It's a positive, welcoming and inclusive experience where there is no time limit and no-one finishes last!
It is not a race, you are only competing against yourself, to improve your personal best time.
Please register at parkrun.org.uk/register before your first visit, to obtain your personal barcode, so the timekeepers can record
your time and you can track your progress week by week.

The Lake
Very popular with visitors as well as with the ducks and geese. There are also moorhens and coots, and you
might just be lucky enough to see the heron!
The birds love to be fed, but please don't give them bread. It is not good for them, and can cause illness.
Leftover bread will rot and pollute the water, and it can also encourage rats.
Birds appreciate sweetcorn, peas, shredded lettuce, oats and seeds - and these are good for them.
Kirklees Model Boat club meets every Sunday morning and Wednesday afternoon at the lake, and also hosts
events throughout the year.
Please note: angling is not permitted in the lake.
